Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is currently halfway through the four-year agreement he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.
The experienced forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which was the initial major trophy of his distinguished career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he previously was, and would certainly contemplate lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the speediest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
